Eminent Domain

Dean Mead’s Litigation Department represents property and business owners in a variety of matters where the value of the property or business is in dispute.

We work with developers, investors, businesses, banks, agricultural interests and others in matters involving governmental and quasi-governmental acquisition/taking of private property interests and rights.  This representation includes negotiated resolutions, administrative hearings, eminent domain litigation, inverse condemnation actions and Bert Harris claims.

The firm litigates and negotiates many other real property disputes where the government is a potential party, including land use disputes and property tax appeals. In addition, we routinely handle due diligence, business valuation, other real property valuation and related disputes where the government is not a party.
