Land Acquisition

Dean Mead’s Real Estate Department represents property owners, businesses, developers, financial institutions, and investors in all aspects of the acquisition, development and sale of real estate. We have extensive experience advising clients with respect to the purchase and sale of a wide variety of real estate, including commercial, residential, agricultural and industrial properties.

Our attorneys assist clients in negotiating and drafting purchase and sales contracts, due diligence, title review, financing and closing. In purchase transactions, our department has the expertise to help clients with due diligence by reviewing title, surveys, environmental reports, permits and entitlements, concurrency, land use and zoning.

Dean Mead’s corporate and tax attorneys often structure entities and partnership or joint venture agreements for investors taking title to property, or advise clients on the best way to structure a sale to minimize the tax impact. Our environmental attorneys can resolve issues relating to contaminated properties, protected species or wetland mitigation, and help protect clients from potential liability. We have the breadth of expertise needed to identify potential issues and advise our clients to help them achieve their goals.
