Senator Joe Negron

Senator Joe Negron won election to the Florida State Senate in 2009 from Florida’s 28th Senate district in a special election.  He served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2000 through 2006 representing District 32, and was subsequently re-elected..  Senator Negron served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2001 to 2006, and was a member of the Attorney General Bill McCollum Transition Team in 2007.

Representative Debbie Mayfield

Representative Debbie Mayfield was first elected to the chamber of the Florida House of Representatives representing District 80 in 2008.  In 2012, when state legislative districts were redrawn, Representative Mayfield was moved into the 54th District, which included much of the territory that she had previously represented in the 80th District, and was subsequently re-elected. She also served as the Majority Deputy Whip from August 2009-2010.

Representative Larry Lee, Jr.

Representative Larry Lee, Jr. was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2012 representing District 84.  During his time in the legislature, Lee worked with Senator Joe Negron to protect the Indian River Lagoon, working with Negron to try to secure $230 million to protect the region, and has sponsored bills aimed at promoting childhood literacy.

Peter Dunbar

Peter Dunbar is chair of Dean Mead’s Governmental Relations, Lobbying and Administrative Law Industry Team in the firm’s Tallahassee office. He began his career in Florida government in 1967 as staff director in the Florida House of Representatives. Mr. Dunbar later served for five terms as a distinguished member of the Florida House representing Pinellas and Pasco counties in the Florida Legislature. Upon leaving the Legislature, he held the posts of General Counsel and Director of Legislative Affairs under Governor Bob Martinez and as General Counsel at the Department of Financial Services. Mr. Dunbar served as Chief of Staff during the transition from the Martinez administration to the administration of Governor Lawton Chiles, and he is former Chairman and two-term member of the Florida Ethics Commission.
