Vicki Berman Honored with Outstanding Achievement Award by CREW Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. – Vicki L. Berman, a 30-year veteran of the real estate industry and attorney at Dean, Mead, Egerton, Bloodworth, Capouano & Bozarth, P.A., was honored with the Outstanding Achievement Award by Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Orlando during the organization’s 12th Annual Celebration of Champions gala on November 12, 2015. The award for “Outstanding Achievement” recognizes a CREW Orlando member who best exemplifies the association’s mission over at least a 10-year period by showing sustained and devoted efforts in leadership of CREW Orlando and/or the CREW Network. Berman was recognized for her exceptional dedication and outstanding contributions to the success of CREW Orlando, as well as her enthusiasm in promoting and supporting the advancement of women in the commercial real estate industry in Central Florida.

Berman is a long-term member of CREW Orlando and she has held various leadership roles on the Board of Directors and on several committees during the past 20 years. Recently, she spearheaded the development of the Future Leaders group to create a mentoring platform and educational forum for the next generation of leaders in commercial real estate. CREW launched Future Leaders in 2014. Today there are more than 60 young members who participate in a full range of activities including networking and educational events, quarterly mentor lunches, and the popular Visionaries program in partnership with NAIOP and ULI.

In 2013, Berman was presented with the National CREW “Impact Award” recognizing her efforts in Member to Member Business within the CREW organization. The award was presented at the CREW Network National Convention in Dallas, Texas.

Berman represents buyers and sellers, landlords and tenants, borrowers and lenders, investors and developers in a wide variety of commercial and residential real estate transactions. She has principal responsibility for one of the firm’s largest clients, a REIT, which is currently the largest office landlord in Orlando. In addition to office leasing, she has significant experience in retail and industrial leasing. She is also on the team which represents the firm’s largest client, a major Florida landowner, and has handled several significant transactions for the purchase and sale of real estate, including several 1031 transactions.

Berman has been named an “Outstanding Real Estate Lawyer” by Best Lawyers in America for the past five years. In addition, she has made Orlando Magazine’s list of “Orlando’s Best Lawyers” for the past three years. Additionally, Orlando Life Magazine recognized Berman as the “Top Leasing Attorney” in 2013.
