VIERA, FL.–Claudia F. Haines has joined the Viera law office of Dean Mead in an Of Counsel capacity. Haines represents clients in the area of business/corporate law with an emphasis on business combinations and divestitures, corporate governance, business contracts, the legal and business issues unique to technology start-ups, and business negotiations, including informal dispute resolution.
Prior to joining Dean Mead, Haines was Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Levitt Corporation, a public company headquartered in Fort Lauderdale. Before earning her law degree, Haines was a Wall Street executive at bulge bracket investment banks, advising Fortune 500 companies on foreign currency risks and structuring transactions in the international capital markets.
Haines earned her law degree, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law in 1995, and her undergraduate degree in economics from Principia College in 1981. She is a member of The Florida Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States Federal Court, Southern District of Florida and the Southern District of Florida, Federal Bankruptcy Court.
