The Florida Bar Publishes Part One of Article Penned by Attorney Joseph Percopo

(Orlando, FL) In part of his article series “Florida Irrevocable Grantor Homestead Trust: Having Your Cake and Eating It Too – First Course”, Dean Mead attorney Joseph Percopo presents how a Florida irrevocable grantor homestead trust (“FIGHT”) can be used to retain homestead benefits while simultaneously avoiding homestead burdens.

Presented in two “courses”, the first course discusses F.S. §732.4017, which introduces a path in which Florida Homeowners could transfer a remainder interest in a homestead trust, and analyzes the intended purpose of the FIGHT.
