Join us as we examine a number of scenarios for loan workouts and debt restructuring in order to highlight the possible tax consequences and other ramifications of such workouts and restructuring, with emphasis on what may be unforseen results and costs. Planning opportunities to overcome those results and costs will be discussed.

The program will feature three speakers from Dean Mead:

Vicki L. Berman, Shareholder, Dean Mead’s Real Estate Department. Ms. Berman has more than 26 years of experience representing buyers and sellers, landlords and tenants, borrowers and lenders, investors and developers in a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions.

 

Steven C. Lee, Shareholder, Dean Mead’s Tax Department. Mr. Lee is a Board Certified Tax Lawyer with 30 years of experience representing clients in corporate transactions. He has extensive experience in all types of business matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, dispositions and reorganizations involving a variety of businesses and organizations.

 

Christine L. Weingart, Associate, Dean Mead’s Tax Department. Ms. Weingart provides tax and business counsel to business owners including corporations, LLCs and partnerships. These matters include formation, termination and reorganizations of businesses.
