Orlando, Fla. – Dean Mead announced today that is has named the endowed scholarship being funded by the firm at the University of Central Florida’s new College of Medicine.

The scholarship was established to honor Robert W. Mead, Jr., a founding member of Dean Mead and a long-standing legal advocate to the Central Florida medical community. The “Robert W. Mead, Jr. Scholarship Presented by Dean Mead” will be awarded in perpetuity to top medical students at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and is currently one of only two endowed scholarships at the College of Medicine.

Michael Minton, president of Dean Mead and co-chair of the College of Medicine’s Scholarship Committee, commented “there is no more fitting tribute to honor a man who has had such a remarkable impact on Central Florida’s medical community. Bob has provided legal representation to many of the physicians in our community over the last 30 years and his knowledge and skill are unparalleled.”
