Trustees have numerous responsibilities in the administration of a trust. There are many situations where a trustee can trip up and unknowingly expose itself to liability. Using case studies, attorneys Robert J. Naberhaus III and Joseph K. Naberhaus will discuss common issues that arise in the administration of a trust and the ways a trustee can address these problems while limiting its potential liability.

About the Presenters:

Robert J. Naberhaus III is a Shareholder in the Viera office and his practice consists mostly of estate planning, transfer tax planning, estate and trust administration and asset protection planning. He is certified by the Florida Bar as an expert in the area of Wills, Trusts and Estates, and has extensive experience working with high net worth individuals. He also practices in the areas of business succession planning, charitable planning, guardianship and probate and trust litigation.

Joseph “Joey” Naberhaus is a litigator in Dean Mead’s Viera office. His practice includes trust and estate litigation, guardianships, commercial/business litigation and real property disputes. He also has experience representing hospitals, physicians and other healthcare professionals in administrative proceedings before the Florida Department of Health and the Agency for Healthcare Administration, as well as counseling clients on a wide range of insurance coverage matters.
