“SeaWorld Fraud Lawsuits Could Be Tough For Consumers to Win,” Orlando Sentinel

In an article published by the Orlando Sentinel on May 4, 2015, David Hathaway, chair of Dean Mead’s Litigation Department, provides insight on the recent lawsuits brought against SeaWorld. The theme park is currently fighting five lawsuits from customers who say the company misled them about the treatment of its whales. Hathaway, however, says that the case may be difficult for the plaintiffs to win. In the lawsuit, consumers are arguing that “every ticket sold was worthless and every theme park experience for every customer is worth zero,” said Hathaway. “That’s a stretch.” Orlando Sentinel subscribers may access the article here.
