Tallahassee, FL – Dean Mead is excited to announce the addition of Timothy M. Riley in the Tallahassee office. Riley comes to the Firm with 13 years of experience practicing in Governmental Relations and Administrative law, focusing on Land Use, Environmental, Oil and Gas law.
Riley moved to Tallahassee in 2008 after working in Texas as the Manager of Environmental Resources for the Town of Flower Mound and the Manager of Policy & Development for the Barton Springs/Edwards Aquifer Conservation. Since then, Riley has been in Florida working closely with clients and representing them before local, state and federal regulatory agencies and civil and administrative courts concerning corporate, commercial environmental, land use, and land use related legal matters.
Currently, Riley serves as the Command Judge Advocate for the 83rd Troop Command, in the Florida Army National Guard, where he recently completed a 16-month federal activation with the Florida Division of Emergency Management in support of the State of Florida’s COVID-19 response. Timothy is also a veteran who served in Afghanistan as an Operational Law Attorney in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with the 82nd Airborne Division.
In his free time, Riley enjoys working as an Adjunct Professor where he teaches Oil & Gas and Military Law at Florida State University’s College of Law.
Riley received his Juris Doctor degree from Vermont Law School in South Royalton, Vermont, his Master’s degree in Philosophy from the University of North Texas, and Bachelor degree in Philosophy and Political Science from the University of North Texas.
