Bringing Client Goals to Fruition with Substantial Relationships and Deep Knowledge

Our Government Relations & Lobbying team blends strong knowledge with impactful relationships. In fact, Chris Moya wrote the book on government relations and lobbying – literally! We navigate complex regulatory and legislative challenges to help our clients achieve their business goals. Our three principles are:

  • Extensive knowledge concerning laws, regulations, and policies that affect business outcomes
  • In-depth understanding of the legislative process regarding how laws, regulations, and policies are formed
  • Longstanding relationships with individuals who wield the levers of power

About Us

The Dean Mean team is comprised of bipartisan lobbyists and attorneys with over 200 years of combined experience, deep connections in every significant industry in Florida, and long track records of success in Tallahassee. Every legislative and executive office leader in Florida is familiar with our team, ensuring we have the capability to position our clients for successful outcomes.

Our Lobbying Process

Lobbying is often oversimplified and described as simply explaining your position to lawmakers. Rather, it is a discipline of defining what success is at the onset and shaping laws that collectively benefit business and the community. Our extensive network of contacts in the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government help formulate comprehensive solutions regarding policy and legislative priorities to execute on the desired client outcome.

Here’s how the Dean Mead Team approaches this process:

  1. We gain a precise understanding of the client’s preferred outcome. We then explain the lobbying process and assess the likelihood of success, ancillary risks, social costs, and identify allies.
  2. We evaluate the client’s assets. This includes social media presence, influence and stature in the community and political ecosystem, reservoir of goodwill, history, and other reputational matters.
  3. We look at the client’s issue and analyze the best way to achieve their business objective. That may be through legislation, amending the regulatory rules that interpret and enforce the law, asking for executive action, or even a constitutional amendment.

Give us a call, and we can explain whether our team is right for you.
