Dean Mead Hires Attorney Brendan Hobbs

(Orlando, FL) Dean Mead announced Brendan Hobbs has been hired as an Attorney in the firm’s Corporate and Tax Department.  He will be assisting in the structuring transactions, in a tax-efficient manner, and in the acquisition, merger, sales, and dissolution of multiple corporate entities and nonprofit organizations.

“Brendan introduces additional depth to an already experienced and highly recognized group of tax attorneys,” shares Stephen R. Looney, Chair of the firm’s Corporate and Tax Department. “Having served as a Judicial Law Clerk for two judges on the United States Tax Court, Brendan has a strong foundational understanding of issues facing taxpayers which involve the Internal Revenue Service. His experience will serve the Department well as Dean Mead continues to work with businesses and individuals throughout Florida to address their most complex corporate tax issues.”

A dual graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center, Brendan received his J.D. in 2021 and his LL.M. in Taxation, with distinction, in 2022. He also holds a certificate in Employee Benefits Law from Georgetown. For his undergraduate studies, Brendan attended the University of Alabama, where he was a walk-on member of the football program before graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelors in Political Science.
