Dean Mead Celebrates 40 Years

Amid the current pandemic, Dean Mead is working diligently to help our clients navigate the various stimulus acts coming out of Washington, DC and Executive Orders from Tallahassee. As we press on through this unprecedented time, we reflect on 4 decades of serving our clients by celebrating our May 5 anniversary re-directing the firm’s anniversary recognition funds toward non-profit organizations helping our communities cope with COVID-19. This year, we not only celebrate the 40 years that brought us here, we look ahead to building a stronger and safer future – together.

To position our clients for a successful post-virus future, our Government Relations and Lobbying team is helping to shape the policies and decisions to move us forward. Members of our team have been involved in seeking appropriate tax relief for our clients, in shaping the state’s tax policy in response to the pandemic, and in advising clients on navigating emergency orders, return filing and payment issues during this time. The Dean Mead Government Relations Team’s practice is built on three principles: deep knowledge of how laws, regulations and policy can effect business outcomes; deep understanding of how laws, regulations and policy are made; and longstanding relationships to the people who wield the levers of power.

Our Tax Team is very active in advising our clients on the various federal tax relief provisions enacted by the CARES Act, and together with members of our Litigation and Real Estate Teams, keep abreast of the ever-evolving guidance on the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans that are so critical for the economic survival of our clients. We have advised our physician clients on the Provider Relief Funds received from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS).

Our Estate Planning Department has been busy helping our client’s deal with these turbulent times.
