Kristilee Chihos

Kristilee Chihos is an associate attorney in Dean Mead’s Real Estate department. Her commercial real estate practice includes the representation of national and regional homebuilders and developers. She specializes in large scale real estate acquisitions and sales, including the drafting and negotiation of purchase and sale contracts, title and survey review, due diligence, HOA document preparation, development agreements and easements, and closings. Ms. Chihos received her juris doctorate degree from Emory University and her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Leadership from Troy University, where she graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA. She is a member of CREW Orlando and serves as Chairperson of the Future Leaders Committee. Ms. Chihos was awarded the CREW Economic and Community Involvement Award in 2018 for contributing her real estate legal services to the development of the Pulse Interim Memorial site. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Chihos was a legal intern for Wyndham Vacation Ownership, Century Communities, Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, and The Law Offices of Barry Miller.

Mr. Corrick is a member of Dean Mead’s Agribusiness Industry team, and practices in our Treasure Coast office. He practices in the areas of commercial real estate, zoning and land use, and general business law. He has experience in every element of real estate purchase, ownership, governance and sale. In addition, he assists clients in land use and zoning matters, permitting and licensing, and in agreements governing the use of property such as covenants and restrictions, commercial and agricultural leases, easements and licenses.

Mr. Corrick has extensive experience working with issues unique to agricultural businesses and properties. These include conservation easements, grazing leases and matters related to water use and environmental permitting, as well as financing, operation, sale and purchase of farm and ranch properties.

Within Dean Mead’s litigation practice, Joe represents clients across a wide variety of industries including healthcare, information technology, construction, retailers and manufacturers, lawn and landscape, and pest control. He represents clients in both state and federal court and focuses his practice on contract claims, construction defect matters, shareholder disputes, fraudulent transfer actions, non-competition and restrictive covenant enforcement, real property disputes, and landlord/tenant matters. He also represents insureds and insurance companies in coverage related matters, and has successfully litigated securities matters, to include FINRA arbitration proceedings.

Ms. Detzel is Chair of the firm’s Estate and Succession Planning Department and specializes in techniques to reduce or avoid paying estate tax such as family limited partnerships, grantor retained annuity trusts (GRATs), sales to intentionally defective trusts, charitable trusts, lifetime gifts and generation skipping trusts. Particular emphasis includes planning for the succession of closely held or family business. She also handles many contested tax matters in the transfer tax area, ranging from audits of returns and administrative appeals within the IRS to Tax Court and Federal District Court litigation. Ms. Detzel handles the entire gamut of administration of estates and trusts, including contested matters of will and trust interpretation and reformation.

Lee Dobbins Is the Managing Shareholder of Dean Mead’s Fort Pierce office. He practices in the areas of zoning, land use and commercial real estate transactions in the Fort Pierce, Stuart and Port St. Lucie communities. He represents property owners in the acquisition and development of land, including negotiating complex purchase contracts, due diligence, financing, title issues, closings and obtaining zoning and land use and site plan approvals from the local municipalities. Mr. Dobbins has assisted clients in taking residential, commercial and mixed-use developments from the purchase of raw land through obtaining final development approvals. He also has experience in obtaining economic development incentive grants and tax abatements, resolving utility issues, concurrency, debt restructuring transactions and drafting and negotiating complex commercial leases throughout the Treasure Coast.
