Community Involvement

The lawyers and professional staff of Dean Mead share the responsibility and a commitment to enhance the communities in which we live and work. That is why we contribute time to a wide spectrum of community service projects. And, while many of us serve on boards and committees for various arts and civic organizations, our greatest passion is Education. Our goal is to support organizations that bring services, cultural arts and education to those who would not otherwise have access in an effort to enable those individuals to achieve their dream of a quality education.

At the retreat, two business leaders immediately stepped forward and made the first donations. A few months later an organized campaign to raise funds was launched. Dean Mead Takes Leadership Role in Helping the University of Central Florida College of Medicine (June 2007)

Dean Mead is committed to education. Therefore, when presented with an opportunity to take a leadership role in helping the University of Central Florida establish a world class College of Medicine in our community, we jumped at the chance.

As a brand new medical school, it was recognized early on that, to attract well qualified applicants, there would have to be a special incentive. That is why Dr. Deborah German, dean of the College, made plans to award scholarships to all of the students in the charter class, which begins in the Fall of 2009. Dean Mead assumed an early leadership role in the scholarship campaign by participating as a founding member of the Scholarship Committee and funding a four year endowed scholarship.
