Brad Gould Appointed as Vice-Chair of S Corps. Committee of the ABA Tax Section

Fort Pierce, Fla. – Brad Gould  a shareholder at the law firm of Dean, Mead, Minton & Zwemer – has been appointed Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Tax Section S Corporations Committee for 2016-2017.  His two-year term started on July 1, 2016. His appointment as one of the leaders of the organization reflects the recognition he has received by his peers for his abilities and contributions to the work of the Section. As Vice-Chair, Gould is responsible for overseeing and advising on a number of the committee’s activities.

Gould practices in the areas of federal income, estate, and gift tax law and business succession planning. He represents businesses and business owners in all types of business and tax matters, including choice of entity, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, and other general business matters. Gould represents individuals, businesses and fiduciaries before the Internal Revenue Service and also counsels clients on estate and wealth preservation planning and administration matters.

Gould received his law degree in 2001 from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and his master’s and bachelor’s degrees in accounting from the University of Florida in 1998.  He is an attorney and a licensed CPA.

About the ABA S Corporation Committee: The Committee on S Corporations focuses on the federal and state tax treatment of S Corporations and their shareholders. The Committee provides continuing legal education on both basic and advanced topics, as well as current developments affecting S Corporations. The committee also proposes and comments on pending legislation, regulations and revenue rulings, and provides a forum for the in-depth exploration of tax issues relating to S Corporation practice.
