Orlando, Florida – Stephen R. Looney was among the guest speakers at the Florida Bar Tax Section Fall Meeting held October 14, 2011 at the Gaylord Palms Hotel in Orlando, Florida. Looney’s presentation was entitled, “Mergers and Acquisitions of S Corporations” and he co-presented with Jerald D. August of West Palm Beach, Florida. Their topic covered special tax considerations applicable to sales and purchases of S Corporations, including trouble sales and purchases, and tax-free mergers and reorganizations of S Corporations.
